Content Manager
Managing Content
Public access devices are powerful marketing tools. Their
interfaces can be used to suggest themes as well as to advertise,
and different occasions may require different emphasis.
It is therefore imperative that you, the public access service
provider, are able to update the interface and other content
in a controlled and timely manner. The NetShift Enterprise
Content Manager can help you do this.
Content Manager is able to update interface content and
installed software in all deployed devices based upon a
flexible set of decision criteria. You can send whole new
interfaces, new attract mode sequences, new configurations,
new html content and new instructions as well as new operational
software. You can schedule changes to take place at critical
times - either during a quiet period or at a time when the
expectations of potential customers may have changed.
The whole content update process has been designed to conserve
precious network resources such as bandwidth, and is implemented
via a 'pull architecture' whereby deployed devices themselves
initiate asset transfers between the server and client environment.
Current Status
Content Manager also shows the current status, in detail,
of all public access devices on the network. This data can
be used to monitor activity across the network or on a single
device, aiding decisions about update timings, and can be
saved as a static or dynamic 'snapshot'.
